The "True" Meaning of Christmas

|
At the ripe age of 10, the boy connected the dots and found out the Christmas secret.

He slowly put a few things together and asked Momma while I was running AB to cheer.  With a letter and some explanation about what Christmas is truly about and what we need to remember, he is on board.

The secret about the Elves and St. Nick is out.  The "transition" went much smoother than we had anticipated.

Santa's Video

The big guy, not THAT big guy - the one in the red suit, sent the kiddos a quick message.

Tree Hunting 2016

|
First time that the Wheat's have ventured in to the real Christmas tree world; and we loved every minute of it.

Yearly Visitor(s) Return

|
The little lady. Apple Joy, showed up today; but Elvis is waiting on the kids to behave better before he makes his appearance.

This should be an interesting year.

Turkey-Ball 2016

A Big First

|
I can still remember my first concert.  It was Marky-Mark and Funky Bunch at Six Flags; I think I was maybe 10 or 11.  Thankfully my taste in music has changed for the better, but my love for live music and concerts is still as strong as ever.

It's awesome that our kiddos are at an age where we can begin to take them to events like a concert, a play, etc., and that they can enjoy it and appreciate (at least to some level) what they are experiencing.

Thomas Rhett played at the Great Frederick Fair on Sunday night and it was the kid's first concert to attend.  They both had a blast and we couldn't have asked for a better way to end a great weekend.
