This Ain't No Mall Santa

Who needs the mall Santa; with all those smelly ass kids, long lines - and oh yeah, the whole mall part...blah.

We bring the man to us.

The local volunteer fire department really steps up their game around here this time of year.

They do some great things in their day-to-day activities obviously; however, around Christmas time they escort Mr. Clause on the back of one of their fire trucks.

What better way to enjoy the evening then to invite close friends and have a party and wait for the big man himself; kind of like waiting for the ball to drop in Time's Square, but without the late hours.

First Time On The Hardwood

All things considered, the Bambino did pretty good for his first basketball game.

Coming in as a true rookie to the sport, he was definitely shaky at first, but by the end of the game he was jacking up shots left and right; none actually went into the basket, but we will work on that.

Proud of the boy for sure for getting out there and playing his little heart out.

Air Jaxson

First "official" basketball practice for Jax on his first "official" basketball team.

Showed great enthusiasm, had decent skills for his first go at it, and is also the tallest kiddo on the team - looking forward to seeing him progress over the next few months.

He Is The Reason

A local church had a live nativity scene set up; it was a nice way to kick-off the month of December and also help the kids (and adults) as to what the true focus and meaning of Christmas is.

Free hot chocolate, free cookies, and some songs from a youth choir; tough to beat on a chilly Sunday night.

The Elf Is Back

This year, Santa sent a substitute for our boy Elfis; our new lady Apple-Joy showed up to watch over the house and kids; all while reporting back to the man...we shall see how this year goes.

And yes, that is my son rockin' my wind-breaker from when I was in elementary school.
