Typically when we go to the Parade of Lights in Arlington, we are mere bystanders; however, this year we entered as a participant with the kids school.
Tons of hard work by Momma and a huge helping hand from Boo & Pops, we pulled of a decent lighted hay ride for the kids. It wasn't the grandest of floats in the parade, but the kids didn't care and we were all more than happy to enjoy the parade for a unique perspective this year.
Thank again to Boo and Pops and a huge GOOD JOB goes out to Momma for successfully pulling off a challenging project.
Five years and still going strong. No doubt it was the coldest and wettest day so far; but I think we still had our biggest family and friend turn-out of the past five years. Cold winds and rain can't stop us.
When it come to Bar-B-Que; there are certain places in Texas that are a must. These places go beyond the food; it's the people, the surroundings, the sounds, the total atmosphere.
He was WAY more excited about handing out the candy then going to get his own. Wasn't able to catch his mad dash to the end of the sidewalk and back once he saw some potential candy grabbers.
The kids school organized a warm-up candy grabbing session before the kids hit the streets for a night of sugar indulgence.
Parents showed up for a Trunk & Treat before the sun set with car trunks decorated and a plethora of candy, which allowed the kids to test out their costumes and figure which candy they would keep and what candy they would hand out to all the suckers later that evening.
